Billie Carol Schliep

Billie Carol Hurlbert Schliep passed away peacefully on 22 June 2025 at White River Care facility Enumclaw, Washington.

Billie was born 24 Jan 1943 Ronan, Montana to Verna Jensen and Ervin Hurlbert. She was raised in Round Butte, Montana by her mother (divorced) and Clifford Jensen (Uncle). She attended Round Butte Elementary and graduated from Ronan High School.

She met Lawrence Schliep while waitressing at a cafe in Ronan. They married on 10 March 1962 in St. Ignatius Montana and later divorced. They had two children. Johnathan Wade Schliep (Marti) and Ann Marie Schliep.

She was an admissions clerk at the Holy Family Hospital, a bank teller, milk maid, police dispatcher, clerk of court while raising her children. Later attended Ricks College in Rexburg Idaho and received her Associate Degree in textiles and clothing. She worked retail altering and tailoring clothing in Missoula, Montana.

She later moved to Spokane, Washington and operated her own assisted living business until she retired. She moved back to St. Ignatius Montana where she enjoyed quilting with many of her friends in a quilting guild. She move to Spanaway Washington to be close to her son and daughter-in-law. Later she suffered a stroke and was eventually placed in the White River Assisted Living facility in Enumclaw Washington.

She was preceded in death by her mother and brother (Gary). She leaves behind her children (2), grandchildren (4), and great grandchildren (12). The family would like to thank the medical personnel at the Franciscan Clinic in Enumclaw, and all the loving care givers at White River. There will be no funeral services. There will be a graveside service in St. Ignatius Montana at a later date.
