A Family Tradition Since the Early 1900s
Powers Funeral Home is one of the oldest funeral homes in the Puyallup, Sumner, Orting, South Hill, Tacoma and Pierce County region. Generations of funeral directors have been serving the needs of local people since the early twentieth century. That accumulation of knowledge has resulted in a funeral home that offers one of the most flexible and superior range of services and venues found in the area today. Whether you are considering cremation or burial, we will guide you through the planning process with compassion and sensitivity. Powers Funeral Home is considered one of the best funeral homes in Puyallup, Sumner and Orting because we provide a personalized approach to every funeral. We understand that honoring a loved one with a beautiful, respectable and unique ceremony is a comfort during a time of loss. That is why we do everything we can to help those grieving plan the best departure ceremony possible.
What Our Families Are Saying...
I can not say enough about this funeral home. We recently lost my step mom unexpectedly. We went into the funeral process totally blind and couldn't have stepped foot into a better place. From the first moment in planning they were so understanding during our constant mind changes in order to make things perfect. We worked with Beth who did all our planning and took so much stress off of us. I couldn't imagine how hard of a job she has, but she is outstanding at it. Up until the cemetery she was with us every step of the way. Thank you Powers for making this terrible situation so much easier! We hope to not have to use you for a long long time but will definitely use you time and time again.
First and foremost, we at Powers Funeral Home are ALWAYS available to help you and your family..
In light of Governor Inslee’s Proclamation 20-25 that funeral, graveside, memorial, viewing and witness cremation services are only attended by immediate family members of the deceased, we have made the decision to close our business office to non-essential appointments beginning March 23, 2020.
PLEASE KNOW: This does not affect our ability to serve families in their time of need. We are allowed to host funeral services following the guidelines in Governor Inslee’s proclamation and recommendations made by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. We remain available by telephone at 253-845-0536 24 hours a day. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
