Danny Ray Looker, 73, passed away on December 12, 2025, in Tacoma, Washington. Born on April 24, 1952, in Olympia, Washington, Dan lived a life marked by unwavering dedication to his family, his work, and his faith.
A proud graduate of Puyallup High School, Dan embarked on a remarkable 52-year career in the asphalt industry. His professional journey began with Looker Trucking and Looker and Associates and culminated in the founding and operation of Looker Asphalt alongside his three sons—Ky, Dane, and Jesse. Through decades of hard work and leadership, Dan built not only a successful business but also a legacy of integrity and perseverance that continues through his family.
Dan was married to the love of his life, Connie (Rasmussen) Looker, for 54 years. Together they built a strong and loving family that was always at the center of Dan’s world. He is survived by Connie; his mother Kathryn Looker; his children Ky and Kelli Looker, Dane and Amy Looker, Jesse and Jessica Looker; and seven grandchildren—Isaac, Shae, Lawson, Tate, Trent, Eva, and Stella Looker—each of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

Dan’s life was filled with simple joys. He loved fishing with friends and grandchildren at his beloved Lake St. Clair, restoring old cars, golfing with family and friends, snowmobiling, working at the lake, and cherished vacations in La Quinta. These moments were always shared with the people he loved most. Above all, Dan’s greatest joy was cheering on his kids and grandkids in any sport or activity, even if that meant RV-ing across the country. No distance was too far—if they were playing, Dan was there.
A man of deep faith, Dan attended Bethany Baptist Church where he found spiritual strength. His moral compass guided every decision he made—from business to personal relationships—and he lived each day with purpose.
Those who knew Dan remember him as a wonderful caretaker who gave generously without hesitation. He was intelligent, faithful, moral, hardworking—a rock for many. His legendary storytelling brought laughter to countless gatherings. Loyal to the core and courageous in every endeavor, Dan never said no when someone needed help. He solved problems with wisdom earned through experience and offered support without condition.
He was proud of all he had built—not just in business but in the lives he touched. A good “Looker” indeed—he carried himself with strength yet warmth that drew people close. Dependable beyond measure and deeply loving toward everyone he met, Dan’s presence left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
May Dan Looker's memory bring comfort to those who knew him—and may the legacy he left behind continue to inspire strength, generosity, faithfulness, and love for generations to come.
