Elsie Joan Wells

Elsie Joan Coudriet Wells, age 84 of Puyallup, WA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 22nd, 2025, surrounded by family. She is survived by her children Steve and Jodi; her grandchildren Jessica, Haylie, Cassidy, David, Anna, and Grace; and her great grandchildren Madelyn, Wesley, Avery, Hudson, Miley, and Naomi. She grew up in a large family with 14 brothers and sisters, and has four remaining siblings: Polly, Jeanie, Patty, and Buddy.

She was an amazing mother and grandmother. She was a loving wife to her husband, David Wells, for over three decades before he passed away. The bond they had was truly a forever love and she adored him until the end. She loved golfing and was an avid gardener. She was an excellent cook and was especially known for potato salad, pies, and a green salad with an amazing Italian dressing. It was impossible to go hungry at her house. Even something as simple as her tomato sandwiches always hit the spot. She adored her little shih tzus. Those little dogs always warmed her heart. She was quite competitive. She was great at cards and If you ever thought you could beat her at scrabble, think again. She had the most beautiful handwriting. Her family and friends never questioned how much she loved them. She cared so much about the people in her life. She could always be counted on to be there for the people she loved. In her later years she became a world traveler and visited many famous cities throughout Europe. She made friends wherever she went and for years she spent her winters as a snowbird in Arizona. Many of her friends stayed in contact with her and visited during the summers and after she stopped spending the winters in Arizona.

Elsie Wells was respected and loved. She was an amazing woman and even though she is not with us physically, her love and actions have made an impact on others that will continue to live on.

Elsie will be available for viewing at Powers Funeral Home in Puyallup Washington from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday May 3, 2025.

A memorial service is tentatively planned for 3:00pm on May 31, 2025 at Peace Lutheran Church in Puyallup, WA.
