James Carl Voshell

James Carl Voshell was born February 22, 1935, to Alva and Iva Voshell in Otis, Colorado. He was the oldest child with 5 living siblings.

Jim married Shirlee on December 18, 1956. They had three children and adopted one son. Shirlee passed in March of 2006, just months before their 50th wedding anniversary. Jim is preceded in death by his wife, Shirlee. He is preceded in death by all of his siblings.He is survived by Carolyn Fudge (June 18, 2011), son Dale (Wendy) Voshell of Wisconsin, daughter Deanna (Phil) Ickes of Puyallup, daughter Shelley (Mike) Friend of Edgewood and adopted son Ronald Voshell of Kent.

He was blessed with 6 grandchildren Erica (Gaius) Sanoy, Brent (Angela) Osburn, Christeanna Friend, Cassandra Friend, Jeremiah (Elli) Friend, Stasi Frien.d. Jim has 6 great grandchildren Riley, Shaun, Adley Sanoy Bennett, Allison, Brock Osburn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Jim worked for Boeing for 45+ years. He was a member of Sumner Assembly of God Church (Sumner Family Church) since 1958.

Jim was “papa Jim” to many at Sumner Family Church.

Jim passed away on December 27, 2023, after a short time of being on hospice at Phil and Deanna Ickes home.

Services were held at Sumner Family Church on December 30, 2023.
