Janice “Jan” Marie Johnson of Sequim, Washington went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 23, 2025. Jan was born on August 17th, 1940 to John and Teena (Boomsma) Koster in Harvey, Illinois. On January 8, 1960 Jan married Richard Roy Johnson of South Holland, Illinois. They were married for 61 years.
Jan and Richard loved the western United States where they met lifelong friends while living in Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon and finally Washington. Jan was a devout Christian who truly lived her life by the Word of God. It was not unlike her to take time to pray with someone she saw in need. Jan was an amazing homemaker, cook and baker. Her home was always full and her table surrounded by family, friends, and those in need whom they welcomed along the way.
Proceeding her in death were her parents, husband, son (Timothy), and sister Carolyn (Koster) and husband Ed Hall.
Jan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, sister and Aunt. Survivors include her children Tom (Gloria) Johnson, Daniel Johnson, Lisa (Johnson) Shoulders, (Reggie Campbell), Mary (Johnson) (Bryon) Morehead. Grandchildren Heather Hamilton, Kristian (Greg) Booker, Miranda Johnson, Timothy Johnson, Kendra (Rubaiath) Hossain-Morehead, Samuel (Taylor) Morehead, Isaac Johnson and Roady Shoulders. Great grandchildren, Angel, Sienna, Theodore, Akita, Kiley, Thomas, Ryklen, Benjamin and Elija. Surviving siblings, Millie (Koster) and Jim Eenigenberg, Ruth (Koster) and Ron Swets, Jerry and Liane Koster and several nieces and nephews.
Services to be held at Powers Funeral Home on Tuesday October 14, 2025 at 11am.
