Judith Anne Doonan

Judith Anne Doonan passed away quietly on November 26, 2024 after a long struggle with dementia.  Judith was born in Renton, Washington on August 9, 1941 to Ralph and Blanche Hastings (Krogh).  Judie graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Washington in 1959 and began civilian employment with the National Guard at Camp Murray shortly thereafter.  She married her husband Donald in 1960 but they later divorced.

Judie took a break from employment to become a mom, welcoming a daughter, Dianne in 1963, followed by a son, Michael in 1969.  When the youngest started kindergarten, Judie returned to the workforce and worked for WSU Extension Center, the State of Washington, and ultimately retired from Pierce County.  Judie was an avid seamstress, enjoyed crafts, and keeping a beautiful home and garden beds.

Judie is survived by her daughter Dianne (Lacey, WA); son Michael (Tacoma, WA); brother and sister-in-law William and Sharlee Hastings (Tacoma, WA); and nephews Scott, Steven, and Mark Hastings and their families.  Judie was preceded in death by bother of her parents.

At her request there will be no services.
