Kathi Jenson, a woman defined by her extraordinary warmth and quiet generosity, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the age of 64. Born and raised in Springfield, Ohio, Kathi eventually made her home in Graham, Washington, where she cultivated a life rooted in kindness and community.
To know Kathi was to experience a heart that was truly open. She possessed the rare gift of making everyone feel seen and welcomed; her generosity was steady and unassuming, never seeking recognition, but always seeking a way to make the world a little brighter for someone else.
Kathi took great pride in her twenty-year career with UNFI, where she worked from 2005 until her retirement in early 2025. Over those two decades, she built far more than a professional legacy; she fostered deep, enduring friendships that remained a cherished part of her life.Throughout her life, Kathi found her greatest joy in the simple, profound beauties of the world around her. She was a dedicated gardener who found peace in the sanctuary of her yard, delighting in the birds and butterflies that visited her there. She often stopped to take in the view of Mount Rainier, a sight she never took for granted. An avid traveler, she was most at home on the beach, finding rejuvenation in the sun and the tide. At the center of her home was her cooking—her signature sweet potato soufflé was a beloved Thanksgiving tradition—and the companionship of her two cherished dogs, Dottie and Biscuit, whom she loved dearly. Her greatest devotion was always to her family. She is survived by her husband, Timothy Jenson; her children, Terra (Ryan) Pugh, Renner Pellerin, and Laura Jenson; and her step-son, David (Christina) Jenson. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Mathew, Madyson, Renner Jr., Bella, Logan, and Benjamin; and her younger brother, John (Jamie) Fricke, and his family. She now joins those who went before her: her parents, Jack and Margaret Fricke, and her brother, Steven Fricke.
Kathi’s kindness lives on in every life she touched. She will be profoundly missed, but the light she shared remains with us all.
Service and Donations Memorial to be held on May 16th from 12-3pm (open house style) at the home of Ryan and Terra Pugh.
