Mary Moore McIntyre, revered as a devoted wife to Robert (Bob) and loving mother, passed from this life peacefully on December 12, 2024. Born on January 7, 1939 in Snyder, Oklahoma, Mary was known for her warmth, generosity, and the undeniably loving spirit she brought into the world.
Mary will be lovingly remembered by her beloved children, Debra Lynn and Robert Wayne, daughter-in-law Carmen, grandchildren Brittany, Matthew, Zachary, Michael and Aaron, great grandson Caleb, and sister Clair and husband Bill, along with many other loved ones throughout her life. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Bob. With a family tree and a family consisting of both blood ties and bonds formed from the heart, Mary's reach was as far as it was wide, and she was cherished deeply by many.
Among Mary's most significant accomplishments was raising her two children, whom she held as her pride and joy. She worked many years in the hospitality industry followed by many more years in the textile industry to provide for her family. Yet, even amidst the challenges life brought her way, Mary never wavered in her compassion for others. She continued to support her family and extend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Since moving to the Pacific Northwest in 2008 to be with family, Mary found a new love for being in the beautiful outdoors and developed lasting relationships with new friends. One of her greatest joys was traveling and visiting new places with friends and family.
Her legacy is one of unyielding kindness and generosity. Even with little to spare, Mary continued to give and help others. Even when sick or in pain, she never faltered in caring for her loved ones more than she did for herself.
A Celebration of Life for Mary will take place on February 4, 2025, at 2:00PM at Powers Funeral Home in Puyallup, Washington. Those wishing to pay their respects and celebrate her life are welcomed.
Mary's loss is deeply felt by her family and all those who knew and loved her. Her memory will continue to live on and inspire strength, resilience, and generosity in those whose lives she touched.
