Mary Louise Tebb, a longtime resident of Edgewood, Washington, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025, at the age of 90.B

orn in Olympia, Washington, on November 12, 1934, to Mose and Marcella Letourneau, Mary Lou grew up in the Puyallup Valley. She graduated from Puyallup High School and began her professional life as a legal secretary—a role she held with pride before meeting her husband, Thomas Tebb. Mary Lou and Tom were married on July 26, 1963, and spent 62 years together building a life rich in love, family, and enduring friendship.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Richard Letourneau. She is survived by her loving sister, Judy Stungis; her children, Kristin Hogan (Jeff) and Rick Tebb (Kim); her stepchildren, Dawn Dempsey and John Tebb; and her treasured grandchildren: Claire, Courtney, Chloe, Grant, Lily, and Molly; and step grandchildren: Taylor, Caitlin, and Johnny. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, Mary Lou spent much of her life raising her children and embracing her role as a warm and present figure in the lives of her grandchildren. She was known for her deep loyalty, gentle humor, and quiet strength.

Mary Lou was actively involved in her community and personal passions. She was a member of the Women’s P.E.O. organization and a spirited “Fairette.” For over 50 years, she was part of a cherished bridge club and famously took great pride in her vacuuming—earning her the affectionate title of “Customer of the Year” from Hoover.

She and Tom enjoyed winters in Sun Valley and meaningful time with friends in Packwood. From boating adventures and ski trips to White Pass to countless days spent at the Washington State Fair, Mary Lou found joy in simple traditions and moments with loved ones.

Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life, and she was a dedicated contributor to St. Andrew Catholic Church.

Mary Lou will be remembered for her kindness, devotion to family, and the lasting impact she made on all who knew her.
