Nancy Leora Holt

Nancy lived in Washington her entire life. She attended Clover Creek Grade School and Bethel High School. In the 1 I th grade her family moved to Alder and she graduated from Eatonville High School in 1963.

After graduation she went to work as a live-in nanny for Jim and Wendy Griffin, caring for their four children, Scott, Sterling, Whitney and Ashley. She loved those kids so much, and I'm sure they still are baking chocolate chip cookies the way Nancy taught them. The Griffins sent her to Driver's Education to get her license and purchased her first car. They also sent her to swimming lessons. She became a world traveler as she traveled to Switzerland and Australia with the family.

When the Griffin kids grew up, she went to work at Eddie Bauer for a few years, then in 1979 she went to work and eventually retired from Heath Tecna.

When she was not working, you could find her either in Church, working in her flower beds or in her sewing room.

Nancy loved the Lord and served him all her life. She was a member of River of Hope

Community Church in Puyallup. She was also a member of South Hill Baptist Church in Puyallup, and First Baptist Church in Lakewood, where she taught youth and later in life the senior ladies.

She loved her flowers, and in the spring and summer her yard and porch were full of colorful flowers.

Nancy loved sewing and went to the group "Always in Stitches" where she and her friends could sew all day. She was always making gifts that were thoughtful and beautiful. She Loved baseball, especially her Mariners! Family knew not to call during the games, unless you wanted to hear her cheering them on while you tried to talk to her.

Nancy is now with her Dad and Mom, Brothers Larry, Bill, Ray, Gene, Lenard and sister Caroline. She leaves behind 3 brothers, Ken, Bob and Everett and 2 sisters, Edna and Mary, several Nieces and Nephews
