Listen to Obituary

Patrick “Pat” Donald Pope, 56, passed away on April 18, 2026, after a long illness.

Patrick was born on December 29, 1969, and lived a life rooted in family. He was a kind man, dedicated husband and father and known for his quiet intelligence, generosity, and steady support of those around him.

Patrick had a spirit of adventure and a love of travel that took him from Puyallup, Washington to Ireland, and eventually to Thailand, where he met his wife, Pin. Together, they built a life and later returned to the United States with their family.

He was the proud owner of Bangkok Thai Restaurant in Puyallup, where he poured his energy into his work and community.

Above all, Pat loved his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He cherished his nieces and nephews, always making sure they felt seen and cared for — often with a kind word, thoughtful encouragement, or a special treat.

Pat was the one who said grace at large holiday gatherings, bringing everyone together in gratitude. He carved the turkey at Thanksgiving — a role that will not be easily filled.

He is survived by his wife, Pin; his beautiful daughters, Dream, Lisa, and Lily; his grandchildren, Kyle and Elenna; his mother, Maura; and his siblings, Katie, Molly, and Cormac. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard.

Pat also had a special love for dogs and found joy in the simple, meaningful moments of life. He loved the ocean and looked forward to fireworks on the Fourth of July each year.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, with details to be shared when available.
