Rosie Marie (Barker) Lynch, age 92, died peacefully at her home in Puyallup, on Tuesday, May 19th , at 8:40pm.
She was born on March 4, 1934, in Bidville, Arkansas. She met her husband, Hubert Lynch through a family member. They were married on February 23, 1950, by a country Preacher in Elkins, Arkansas. From there they traveled to Puyallup where they made a home for them and their two daughters.
Rose’s first love was spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed attending Bethany Baptist Church and was very involved with singing in the choir, teaching Sunday school, preparing monthly communion and serving wherever else needed. She took pleasure in creating beautiful crocheted dollies and blankets, gifting them to many friends and family. You could often find her working in her garden alongside Hubert.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Clay Barker, Luvena (Napier) Barker, Husband, Hubert Dale Lynch, Sisters: Ada Henson (Lowell), Ivy Moore (Earl). Ruby Chaffin (Ellis), Mae Bradley (Robert). Floy Hayes (Carl), Ethel Obenshain (Ralph), Filice Haley (Harry).Leola Shepard (Eiy). Brothers: Willis Barker (Joyce), Paul Barker (Lilia), Floyd Barker (Hazel), Alvin Barker.
She is survived by her two daughters, Louella Sue Miller (Joseph), and Lee Anna Veltung (Steve). Grandchildren, Deeanna Geerdes (Scott), Debra Miller, Zachariah Veltung (Henriette). Great Grandchildren, Tyler Geerdes (Emily), Jayden Brown, Kaleb Veltung, Norah Rose Veltung. Great Great Grandchildren, Alexander Geerdes and Charlee Geerdes.
On Friday, June 5 from 10am-12pm we will have a viewing at Powers Funeral Home (320 W Pioneer Ave. Puy 253-845-0536). Followed by a family graveside service at Woodbine Cemetery, The family would love to invite all family and friends to join them for a Celebration of Life for Rose on Saturday, June 6 th , 2pm, at Bethany Church (713 S. Hill Dr., Puy. 253-848-3556).
Any floral arraignments may be sent to Powers Funeral Home prior to the Viewing time on June 5th .
