Tevita Tomasi Tupuvale Lino
A Life Filled with Faith, Family, Laughter and Music.
Tevita Tomasi Tupuvale Lino, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, laid to rest on August 6th, 2025 at the young age of 59.
Tomasi was born on February 3rd, 1966, in Kolofo‘ou, Tongatapu, to Maria Tevi and Viliami Lino. He was the third-born of five children and is lovingly remembered by his three siblings: Anaseini Zarka, Soane Lino, and Viliami Lino.
On the 25th of May, 1997, Tomasi married the love of his life, Lilipeti and together they built a life grounded on faith, love, and family. They were blessed with their two daughters, Chantelle and Oriana Lino, and later welcomed the joy of their grandchild and namesake, Aziel-Tomasi.
Tomasi and Lilipeti shared a deep devotion to God through their service in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. There, his faith was the foundation of his life, guiding his actions and the kindness he showed to all who walked his path.
He was a man of many talents and passions, such as playing music “by ear”, a rugby-star, and cheering for his favorite team, the Seattle Seahawks. He treasured family gatherings, where his humour and strumming of his guitar could light up any room, and his warm, welcoming nature made everyone feel like family. His presence brought joy, laughter, and a sense of belonging to all who knew him.
Tomasi’s journey took him to schooling at Apifo’ou College and there, he found his passion in working with broadcasting and audio at the Tonga Broadcasting Commission, A3Z, in Tonga. He later moved to the United States, where he dedicated 16 years to Lowe’s Distribution Centre, earning the friendship and respect from his fellow colleagues.
He lived by the words he loved most:
“Be kind to one another.”
&
“Life can be messy & painful, but you can find comfort knowing that God has a perfect plan for you.”
Tomasi leaves behind the legacy of love, faith, and kindness that will continue to inspire and guide those who are blessed to have known him.
Sweet Dreams Tomasi,
Never a Goodbye, Just a see you later…
