Wayne, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. To know Wayne was to love him--- his infectious personality, quick wit, and warm heart left an unforgettable impression on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.
Wayne had a gift for laughter and a joy for life that was truly contagious. Whether through a clever joke, a playful grin, or a simple story, he had a way of brightening every room he entered. A lifelong lover of classic rock, Wayne's passion for music began at the young age of three when his father taught him how to play the drums. What began as a childhood bond grew into a lifelong talent and love that never faded. His rhythm, energy, and soulful connection to music continued to flourish all the way to the end. And though he may no longer be with us in body, we're certain he's drumming his heart out in the heavens keeping the beat alive with joy and soul.
He was born and raised in Nashua, New Hampshire, and proudly carried his East Coast roots with him throughout his life. In 1981, Wayne relocated to Puyallup, Washington where he married the love of his life Julia (Carrell). Together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and family.
Wayne cherished his family above all. He found happiness in life's simple, meaningful moments--- conversations, music, smiles, and the warmth of being surrounded by those he loved. He is survived by his devoted wife, Julia Moreau; daughters Jamie (Moreau) Ward, Joyce (Hickox) Arechavaleta, Erica Moreau, and Ambur (Moreau) Jackson); son Nathan Moreau; sister Cindy (Moreau) Goodman; and his fur babies Trixie and Hopper.
Wayne was also a proud grandfather and great-grandfather, deeply devoted to his beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His love for them was boundless and he delighted in the joy they brought to his life.
He is preceded in death by his father Arthur Moreau; mother Lillian (Prince) Moreau; and brothers Raymond and Arthur Moreau. Though their absence was felt deeply, Wayne carried their memory with him always.
Wayne was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of person-- loved deeply, missed endlessly, and remembered always. His spirit will live on through the love he shared, the laughter he sparked, and the music that forever echoes in our hearts.
A celebration of his life, the kind he deserves, is forthcoming and the details will be shared when plans are settled. Current thoughts are we rock on in mid-July.
We encourage you to share your memories and happy moments that you've had with our beloved Wayne. Please sign the guestbook and share a story or two.
