Don passed away at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, WA. He had taken a bad fall.
Don was born October 15, 1936, in Montrose, Colorado to Clarence and Inez Walker. He graduated from Montrose High School where he participated in wrestling, boxing, football and Chieftains Editorial staff. He then went on to Mesa College, then on to BYU in Provo, Utah. Don married Dorothy Pahnke and had five sons. They moved around a lot, starting in Salt Lake City, Oregon and Washington. He worked for Weyerhaeuser Co in Sales, before retiring in 2003.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, sister Barbara Jean Kelley, son Ronald. He is survived by his wife Dorothy of 56 years and their children, Robert Steele, Tim Walker, and Chris Walker. Don loved spending time with his ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. His quiet and steadfast loyal presence will be sorely missed. Thanks for the memories.
