Elizabeth Irene Larkins

Elizabeth Irene Larkins, 100 years old, was born October 10, 1920 in Hackensack, MN and passed away on September 28, 2021. She was preceded in death by Harry Larkins, her husband of 56 years and a daughter Patty Kancianich. Elizabeth is survived by two daughters Judy Dufilho and Linda Larkins - Dorr, 10 grand children and many great grand children.
Elizabeth graduated from Hackensack High School Salutatorian of her class and completed a year of business college. Moving to Washington in 1946, she and her family lived 7 years in a logging camp above Kapowsin before resettling in Puyallup.
Elizabeth retired from the Puget Power and Light Co. office in Puyallup after 25 years. She received several awards for her dedicated service. She was an avid and talented quilter, creating lovely quilts for her family. Camping, hiking, tole painting and gardening were also her passion. A longtime member of the Crocker Grange in Orting where she served as secretary and pianist, she was famous at sales events for her delicious lemon meringue pies. Elizabeth was also a member of the Orting Methodist Church.
A memorial service will be held Friday, October 29, 2021 at the Powers Funeral Home, 320 W. Pioneer Ave, Puyallup, WA at 2 PM. A reception will follow at Powers.
