Ellen was 96 years young. In 1947 she was spotted by Jack White on a laber day weekend walking down the street with her best friend Terry. Jack ran his convertible up on the sidewalk and stopped them in there tracks. He introduced himself and talked her into showing him the town “Vancouver BC.” They only dated for 6 weeks before they were married because Jack lived in the little town of Alderton Washington. Ellen lived in downtown Vancouver BC. Jack and his father owned and operated a large dairy farm. The cows had to be milked every 12 hours so that meant he only had 12 hours to court Ellen . They fell in love and we’re married 6 weeks later. They were happily married for 68 years. They raised four children together,Darlyne,John,Roger and Patti.and adopted son and daughter Dale and Angie.
Ellen was only 19 when she married Jack and moved from the city life to the farm life. Ellen lived to care for her family she was a wonderful mother. She enjoyed gardening canning and preserving all of the foods and meats that the farm produced. She loved spending week nights and weekends at there property on lake tapps watching the kids swim and water skiing. Then in their later years boating in puget sound and fishing in Canada. She enjoyed family vacations including cruising to Alaska ,trips to Arizona and Walla Walla wine tasting, motor home vacations and trips to Hawaii.
