Ethel Cavender

Ethel M. Cavender was born on December 19, 1936 in Wenatchee, Washington to Rosa and Jay Wanzer.  She passed away on December 20, 2019 in Edgewood, Washington.

Ethel married Bill Cavender in Hawaii on December 26, 1991 and they enjoyed 22 years together.  She was a supervisor at the Boeing company where she was employed for 35 years.

Ethel was proceeded in death by her parents, sister Helen, brother Lewis and her husband Bill.  She is survived by daughter Susan McManus, sons Kenneth (Jenny) Hess, Michael Cavender, David (Dianah), brother LeRoy Wanzer, sister Martha Schamacher and brother Larry (Kris) Wanzer as well as 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by extended family members Fred Orton and Cindy (Bob) Crowley.

Ethel enjoyed many interests and activities including travel, skiing, shopping and spending time with family and friends.  She took great pride in her flower and vegetable garden.  She was an active member and patron of the Boeing Museum of Flight.  Ethel was a proud American who loved her country.  She will be missed by her family and friends.
