Ethel Seeley Obituary

Ethel Seeley passed away on October 28th at the age of 83 at Linden Grove Healthcare Center, two weeks after her beloved husband of 44 years, Garold "Elvin" Seeley, passed away.

She was born in March 1938 to Bert and Nettie Badgley, the youngest of eight children.

Ethel attended Alderton, and Sumner High Schools where she was involved in the 4 - H club raising chickens. She also had a horse at home that she enjoyed riding.

Ethel went on to marry William "Bill" McClure and together they had 8 children. Then later, on April 2nd 1977 she married Elvin Seeley who had three children of his own. Theirs became a lively home filled with love. They hosted great family gatherings of multiple generations, enjoyed family camping trips, and other traveling in their latter years, as well as bird watching and gardening at their home in Bonney Lake.

Ethel was involved for many years at the First Christian Church in Orting where she taught Sunday School. Then in the First Christian Church in Sumner. The family was the most important thing to her. Music was also her passion as well as photography.

Ethel is survived by her brother Robert D. (Darlene) Badgley; sister Evelyn Carlson; daughters Maree (Michael) Martin;  Debora (Jerry) Sutton; Cindy Donovan; Kathie McClure; sons Paul McClure; Mark (Teresa) McClure; Dan (Dawn) McClure; Matt McClure; and step-children Joyce (Ray) Fike; Steven (Hjordis) Seeley; and Alan (Jamie) Seeley. Also by 23 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on November 19th at Power's Funeral Home in Puyallup from 10:00 to noon. Then a graveside service at Woodbine Cemetery, followed by a celebration of life reception at Powers Funeral Home. 

Donations to the Diabetes Association Memorial in her name, was her wish.
