Heidi Kilpatrick Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Heidi Kilpatrick on February 24, 2024, in Edgewood, WA. After a twenty month battle with pancreatic cancer Heidi passed in her home surrounded by her daughters and husband.

Heidi was fifty-seven years of age.

Heidi was born in Chicago, IL to the parents of Pedro and Maria Falcon. The family relocated to El Paso, TX where Heidi was raised. She always considered herself a proud native Texan. Throughout her life she embraced her Mexican heritage as well as teaching Spanish at All Saints School in Puyallup, WA.

After high school graduation, Heidi attended The University of Texas for two semesters. She then transferred to the University of Texas-El Paso (UTEP) where she graduated with honors. Later in her adult life she received her master’s degree from Leslie University.

In pursuing law enforcement Heidi was employed by the United States Marshal Service and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for a number of years. For the past twelve years Heidi has been employed by The State of Washington Labor and Industries as a fraud investigator. She truly valued this position and was always grateful to her superiors who had the faith in her to offer the opportunity.

Heidi was passionate about her family, friends, faith, and fitness. As a member of Anytime Fitness in Milton she often referred to it as her “Happy Place”. Her work ethic and workouts were legendary. Through the years Heidi made many likeminded friends at the gym who soon became lifelong friends.

Our Heidi had the rare gift of magnetism. Her beauty, persona, kindness, and always friendly nature was an instant draw as she entered a room. She was the sunshine in the day of many people.

As Heidi was a devout Catholic her strong faith never wavered throughout this painful battle with this evil disease. She continued her daily prayers as well as receiving weekly communion at her home. Often times good friends would sit with her and pray the Rosary.

Through the many hours of suffering Heidi never questioned God and would often say “I’m ready for Him to take me Home”.

Heidi's world were her two loving daughters and all three were very close.

Heidi is survived by her mother, Maria Falcon in El Paso, TX, sister Ilean Rodriguez of El Paso, her daughters Amanda Haworth and Alyssa Haworth of Edgewood, WA. and husband, Carl Kilpatrick of Edgewood.
