Merlin Harris Obituary

Merlin James Harris, age 89, of Edgewood passed away on July 1, 2020 in Tacoma.

Merlin was born in Portland, Oregon to James and Laura Harris. He married Carolyn Ego on February 18, 1951 at Mountain Home Church in Washington County, Oregon. He graduated from Tigard High School, where he played basketball.

He worked in Sales for Genuine Auto Parts prior to his retirement in 1995. For the next 20 years, he and his wife wintered in Arizona.

Merlin is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Barbara.

He is survived by wife Carolyn; sons Michael (Patty), Jack (Linda) and Jeffrey (Jina); and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring of 2021.
