Richard Turcott Obituary

Richard Louis Turcott, age 87, passed away at his Puyallup residence, on Sept. 2, 2021.  Richard was born July 12, 1934 in Auburn, WA to Kenneth and Olive Turcott.  He grew up in Burien with his parents and 3 sisters, Joyce (deceased), Dorothy Jean (deceased) and Patricia.  Richard (Dick) entered the Marine Corps. where he became an Electronics and Calibration specialist and received a medal as an expert sharpshooter.  After 20 years, Richard retired from the Marines with a rank of Chief Warrant Officer level 4. While stationed in Camp Pendelton, Richard met and married Elsie M. Ermert, with whom he spent 55 years, until his passing.  Along with his wife Elsie, Richard is survived by his son Curtis Turcott (wife Cheryl), son Rodney Turcott, and daughter Cathie Faker (husband Dave).  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Lindsey Sas (husband Derrick), Allysha Farkas, Alex Faker, and Breeonna Turcott and great-grandchildren Alex, Harper, Avery, Raegan, Landon, Bella, Isaac and Jacob. He was sadly preceded in death by his granddaughter Casey the previous week.  Richard’s family remembers him as many things but just a few are that he was proud, quiet, loving, intelligent, giving, and helpful.  He enjoyed watching the Mariners, and NASCAR from home, camping, bowling, and most recently, jigsaw puzzles, and his family all remember him listening to his favorite {old) country/western music.  As Richard did not want a service, a private family gathering will be planned at a later date.  The family appreciates all of your thoughts and prayers.
