Sidney Lyle Baunsgard

Sidney Lyle Baunsgard 88, passed away May 31st in Lakewood Wa. He was born August 9th, 1933, in Seattle Wa. He was a son to Ernst Baunsgard and Dorothy (Bill) Rice.

Sid graduated from Bellarmine Preparatory School, then served as a Sergeant for the U.S. Marine Corps. He attended Knapp's Business College where he met Marlene Baunsgard, wife of 64 years.

Sid worked for Boeing and Sid and Bill's Richfield/Arco in Puyallup. He also worked as a Service Manager for South Tacoma Chevrolet/Honda as well as Korum Ford/Mitsubishi.

Sid and Marlene resided in Puyallup for 38 yrs. and raised 4 daughters, Pamela (Douglas) Sheila (Bruce) Deanna (Ron) and Andrea (James) along with 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Sid enjoyed boating, fishing and was an avid golfer. He retired on Anderson Island living along the 6th hole of the Riviera Golf Couse. He also enjoyed working with wood. He built sheds, furniture, and toys.

Sid loved spending time with his family and friends and will be truly missed.

There will be a Memorial Service Thursday, July 7th, 2022 at Powers Funeral Home 1:00-2:00 pm. Reception following 2:00-4:00 pm.
