Stefanie Jeanne King

On March 28, 2023 at the age of 49 Stefanie Jeanne King took her final journey back to heaven. Stefanie was my best friend, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed! It’s time now for us to let God have Stefanie back. God must know my angel is needed back in heaven. She will become a guardian angel for someone else.

Everyone from family, friends, co-workers, and acquaintances who had the opportunity to know Stefanie found a very special and wonderful person. She had a very magnetic personality that drew people to her. Always willing to help others and share a wealth of knowledge. She was continually learning new skills, while teaching and helping others reach their own goals.

In her free time, she was an active member of the American Legion Axillary Post 67 in Puyallup WA. She loved to travel to Yellowstone, Leavenworth, and to the ocean every chance she could. The ocean brought her such joy and relaxation. 

Stefanie was born September 19, 1973 at Tacoma General Hospital. She grew up in Washington’s Puget Sound area as a very spirited young lady. After working a few different jobs, she began her career working at the Veterans hospital from November 2004 – March 2023. During her almost 19 years at the VA Stefanie went back to school and earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree Cum Laude from Grand Canyon University in 2020. This was one of her proudest achievements! This opened new doors of growth and opportunity for her at the VA hospital.

Stefanie was preceded in death by her Grandpa Jay, Grandma Ella, step-father Frank, and father in law Carl. She is "survived by husband" Michael, mother Patrice, mother-in-law Janet, Father Rick, step mother Judy, Daughter Chloe, step daughters Mica and Rachael, step brother Tavis, step sisters Brittney and Melissa, granddaughters Madison, Amelia, Olivia, Chloe’s half-sister Bella, and many other close friends and extended family members.

A celebration of life will be held from 11am – 5pm Saturday June 17, 2023 at the American Legion Post 67 located at 309 14th St SE, Puyallup WA 98372.
