Steven Wayne Webster

Steve passed away peacefully with dignity after a strong and fierce battle with cancer.  He is remembered as a hard working, fun loving, proud family man.  He was always up to something, whether it was building things, tinkering in his garage, or planning the next fun gathering or vacation. Steve served in the United States Coast Guard from May 1968 to May 1972.  While in the Coast Guard Steve traveled the world with expeditions on an icebreaker in Antarctica and New Zealand.  After the Service, Steve joined the Laborers Union where he learned the concrete trade.  Steve quickly struck out on his own to conquer the concrete industry.  He owned and operated Bay Concrete Construction for over 40 years.  His “Masterpiece” was the lake house that he, his family and his close friends built and have enjoyed since 1986.  Steve picked up golf later in life and he loved hitting the links with his sons and close friends and family. He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Hilda Webster.  He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Helen, stepmother Brenda Webster, sisters Carol (Allan) Moore and Karen Rodenbacher, stepbrother Roger (Laura) Elmore, sons Garrett (Brianne) Webster and John (Erin) Webster.  Steve’s pride and joy were his grandchildren Natalie, Kenadie, Trace, Hunter, and Meadow.  Also left to mourn are nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many, many friends.  Service will be held at 11am on Tuesday March 12th with visitation at 10am and reception at 12pm at Powers Funeral Home in Puyallup, 320 W. Pioneer with private graveside service.
