William Wallin Obituary

William H. Wallin “Bill” was born in Puyallup Washington on December 23, 1961. He was the middle child born to Jerry and Sharon Wallin.

Bill grew up in Orting Washington and graduated from Orting High School in 1981. At a very young age Bill learned the value of hard work by taking jobs at various farms in the Orting Valley. After graduation, he worked for the City of Orting and as a carpenter apprentice. His love for the outdoors and passion for the woods led him to his lifelong career in logging. In 1987 Bill and his father established B & J Logging and Bill worked steadfast through the years creating a successful company that endures.

Bill loved the outdoors, he loved to hunt and fish with his dad, brother, friends and adding his grandson to the party later. Along with hunting he enjoyed taking long walks through the woods, gardening and tinkering in the garage.

In 1987 his daughter Jessica Noel was born. He was a wonderful father who raised Jessica as a single dad and taught her the ways of the woods. Bill became reacquainted with Kris in 1992 after their children started playing together. They fell in love while living across the street from each other and after an extended courtship they were married in 2004. Bill and Kris would say their marriage was like no others. They took every opportunity to spend their time together, even if when the projects were tedious, they saw it as a chance to be with each other.

Bill appeared to have a gruff demeanor, but those that knew him knew that it was just a cover up for his soft heart. He gave generously to his family and would drop everything to help a friend or stranger and often did so.

On June 21, 2022, Bill passed away peacefully at home surrounded by those that loved him after a short battle with cancer.

Bill is survived by his wife Kris, daughter Jessica, four stepchildren Zachary (Brandee) Elliott, Amanda (Jason) Lawton, Jessie (Ryan) Allen, and Joshua Elliott, six grandchildren Ethan, Jaden, Raelynn, Lucy, Bristol, and Elias, his brother Jerry (Brenda) Wallin, sister Connie (Ron) Jennison, and several nieces and nephews.
